Scope

This standard specifies the ordering content, dimensions, appearance, weight, and allowable deviations of hot-rolled round bars made from low-carbon steel, as well as technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates. This standard applies to hot-rolled round bars made from low-carbon steel used for deep processing such as wire drawing and other general purposes. This standard does not apply to the following products: - Hot-rolled carbon steel round bars for standard parts; - Steel coils for welding; - Cold heading steel; - High-cutting structural steel; - Round bars for anchor chains.
