Scope

This document specifies the energy consumption (hereinafter referred to as "energy consumption") limit levels, technical requirements, statistical scope, and calculation methods for sponge titanium, titanium, and titanium alloy ingots (hereinafter referred to as "titanium ingots"). This document is applicable to enterprises producing sponge titanium by the magnesium reduction distillation method and titanium ingots by vacuum consumable arc furnaces for the calculation and assessment of energy consumption, as well as the energy consumption control of new, modified, and expanded projects. This document is not applicable to enterprises producing sponge titanium by electrolysis and titanium ingots by cold-bed furnaces for the calculation and assessment of energy consumption, as well as the energy consumption control of new, modified, and expanded projects.
