Scope

This standard defines the procedures and specifications for factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and site integration testing (SIT). These tests are designed to demonstrate that the automated control system fully complies with standard specifications.
Engineering and production activities prior to system testing are not within the scope of this standard.
The various contents of this standard can serve as a guide in practical work and apply to the actual requirements of various processes, factories, and equipment. Figure 1 describes the typical sequence of all activities and events, and Figures 2 and 3 show the interrelationships between the various stages.
