Scope
This standard specifies the methods for the installation, use, maintenance, and repair of fully welded ball valves used in pipeline transportation systems in the oil and gas industry.
This standard applies to fully welded ball valves with nominal pressures of PN16 to PN160, nominal sizes of DN50 to DN1 500, pressure classes of Class150 to Class900, and nominal sizes of NPS2 to NPS60, used in pipeline transportation systems for crude oil, refined oil, and natural gas, with flange connections and welded connections (hereinafter referred to as ball valves).
