Scope

This standard specifies the basic methods and technical requirements for the inspection and evaluation of automotive liquefied natural gas welded insulated gas cylinders (hereinafter referred to as gas cylinders) and their safety accessories. This standard applies to the regular inspection and evaluation of refillable gas cylinders used under normal ambient temperatures (-40 °C to 60 °C), with the storage medium being liquefied natural gas (LNG), a design temperature of not less than -196 °C, a nominal volume of 150 L to 500 L, and an operating pressure of 0.5 MPa to 2.0 MPa. This standard is applicable to automotive liquefied natural gas welded insulated gas cylinder inspection and testing institutions and user units within the territory of Shanghai City.
