Scope

This document describes the high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) methods for determining the concentrations of butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), dibutylated hydroxytoluene (BHT), tert-butylated hydroquinone (TBHQ), ethoxyquin (EQ), and propyl gallate (PG) in feed, as well as the gas chromatography (GC) methods for determining the concentrations of BHA, BHT, and EQ in feed. In this document, the "HPLC method" is applicable to the determination of BHA, BHT, TBHQ, EQ, and PG concentrations in compound feed, concentrated feed, supplementary feed, compound premix feed, vitamin premix feed, and feed raw materials, while the "GC method" is applicable to the determination of BHA, BHT, and EQ concentrations in compound feed and fish meal. The detection limits and quantification limits for BHA, BHT, TBHQ, EQ, and PG in this document shall be implemented in accordance with Appendix A.
