Scope

This document specifies the requirements for the design, materials, manufacturing, testing, documentation, marking, and packaging of non-bonded flexible pipes. This document is applicable to non-bonded flexible pipes with end fittings used for transporting sweet and acidic media (including oil, gas, water, and various chemical agents), including static and dynamic submarine pipelines, risers, and cross-connection pipes. This document is not applicable to bonded flexible pipes and flexible pipes containing non-metallic tensile and compressive armor wires, flow control and well-shutting lines, as well as auxiliary components of flexible pipes.
