This standard specifies the method of representing the models of metal cutting machine tools and automatic lines for rotary body processing. This standard applies to newly designed types of general-purpose and special-purpose metal cutting machine tools (hereinafter referred to as machine tools) and automatic lines. This standard does not apply to combination machine tools and special-purpose processing machine tools.
