Scope

This part provides guidance for measuring and evaluating hand-transmitted vibration in the workplace according to the provisions of GB/T 14790.1.
This part of GB/T 14790 describes the representative vibration measurements for calculating the total 8-hour equivalent vibration value (daily vibration exposure) and the measures to be taken to determine the daily exposure time for each operation. This part provides methods for determining relevant operations that should be considered when evaluating vibration exposure.
This part applies to all situations where humans are exposed to (or bear) vibrations transmitted to the arm system by hand-held or hand-guided machinery, vibrating workpieces, or control devices of mobile or stationary machinery.
