Scope

This document specifies the configuration requirements for the application of grain coolers and the requirements for equipment operators, establishes the operating procedures for grain cooling ventilation, stipulates the operational instructions such as preparation before grain cooling ventilation, operation and management during ventilation, and management after ventilation, as well as the conditions for starting and ending grain cooling ventilation. It also describes the corresponding verification methods, including the recording of grain cooling machine low-temperature storage operations, the setting of the relative humidity of air at the outlet of the grain cooling machine, the evaluation of the unit energy consumption of grain cooling ventilation, and the calculation of the unit cost of reducing grain temperature. This document is applicable to vertical grain cooling ventilation in room-type warehouses, shallow round warehouses, and vertical silo warehouses for storing various raw grains, oilseeds, and non-powdered finished grains, as well as horizontal grain cooling ventilation in room-type warehouses with a span of 24 m or less.
