Scope
This standard specifies the testing methods for Salmonella and Shigella in fecal samples (anal swabs).
This standard applies to preventive health check projects for fecal samples (anal swabs) of employees in public places, food production and processing (food production) personnel, food circulation and catering service (food operation) personnel, and drinking water production and operation personnel.
For employees in other related industries, such as those engaged in the production and operation of medical and health supplies and cosmetics production personnel, the testing of Salmonella and Shigella in fecal samples (anal swabs) in preventive health check projects can be carried out in accordance with this standard.
