Scope
This standard specifies three methods for measuring the air permeability of paper and paperboard: the Gorely method, the Shaw method, and the Bentzen method. This standard is applicable to paper and paperboard with air permeability ranging from 1×10 -2 μm/(Pa·s) to 1×10 2 μm/(Pa·s). This standard is not applicable to paper and paperboard with large surface roughness and those that cannot be firmly clamped, such as crinkled paper or corrugated cardboard.
