Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, storage, as well as the contents of quality certificates and contracts (or purchase orders) for magnesium and magnesium alloy strips and tapes.
This standard applies to pure magnesium tapes (hereinafter referred to as tapes) and hot-rolled or cold-rolled magnesium alloy plates (hereinafter referred to as plates).
