Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, general provisions, base layers, asphalt mixtures and asphalt surface layers, quality management and inspection and acceptance for the construction of asphalt pavements for heavy-load traffic on ordinary trunk roads. This standard applies to new and renovated asphalt pavement projects for heavy-load traffic on ordinary trunk roads. In addition to complying with the provisions of this standard, asphalt pavement projects for heavy-load traffic on ordinary trunk roads shall also comply with the provisions of the relevant standards and specifications currently promulgated by the state.
