Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the short-term compression rate and rebound rate of laminated composite gasket materials (laminated composites of two or more materials with different chemical properties) at room temperature.
This standard applies to laminated composite gasket materials. This standard does not apply to the testing of the compression rate (commonly known as "creep") or rebound rate (commonly known as "compression permanent deformation") of laminated composite gasket materials under long-term pressure, and it also does not consider testing under non-room temperature conditions.
