Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements and working conditions for the pre-processing of deep-sea microbial samples, the on-site processing of deep-sea samples, the extraction of microorganisms and genetic materials, their preservation, and data processing.
This standard applies to the on-site processing, extraction, and preservation of deep-sea microbial samples from waters with a depth of 1,000 m or more.
