Scope

This standard specifies the models, names, and representation methods of wires and cables used for internal connections in electrical equipment, as well as their structural requirements, markings, testing requirements for finished cables, testing methods, and technical requirements for various types of internal connection wires and cables.
This standard applies to wires and cables with a nominal cross-sectional area ranging from 0.051 mm2 to 25 mm2, and rated AC voltages of 30 V, 60 V, 90 V, 125 V, 150 V, 300 V, and 600 V (hereinafter referred to as cables), which are used for internal connections in electrical equipment such as household and similar appliances, information technology equipment, audio and video equipment, and telecommunications terminal equipment.
