GB/T 10322.1-2014 Iron ores—Sampling and sample preparation procedures
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 10322 specifies the methods of mechanical sampling, manual sampling, and sample preparation from a delivery batch during its transfer process for determining the chemical composition, moisture content, particle size distribution, and other physical and metallurgical properties (except for the determination of bulk density using ISO 3852:2007 Method 2). It includes:
a) basic theory;
b) basic principles of sampling and sample preparation;
c) basic requirements for the design, installation, and operation of sampling systems.
The methods specified in this part are applicable to sampling of delivery batches during the loading and unloading processes of belt conveyors and other ore transport equipment. Belt conveyors and other ore transport equipment can be equipped with mechanical samplers, and manual sampling can also be safely carried out on the equipment.
These methods are suitable for all iron ores, whether natural or processed (such as fine-powdered ores and artificial lump ores like pellet ores or sintered ores).
