Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for fluoroplastic-lined pressure vessels.
This standard applies to pressure vessels with fluoroplastic linings and steel shells. Fluoroplastics include polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), perfluoroethylene propylene (FEP), polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), ethylene and tetrafluoroethylene copolymer (ETFE), and meltable polytetrafluoroethylene (PFA). Pressure vessels include towers, kettles, containers, tanks, etc. The design pressure p ranges from 0.1 MPa to 2.5 MPa.
