Scope

This document defines the terms and definitions of microwave integrated circuit switches, specifies their rated values and characteristics, and describes the testing methods.
Switches have various combinations of radio frequency ports, such as single-pole single-throw (SPST), single-pole double-throw (SPDT), single-pole three-throw (SP3T), and double-pole double-throw (DPDT). This document is based on SPDT switches, but it is also applicable to other types of switches.
