Scope

This standard specifies a method for predicting and evaluating the color matching effect between mixed dye color samples and standard color samples when the illumination source is changed. This standard is applicable to predicting and evaluating the color matching effect between mixed dye color samples and standard color samples when the illumination source is changed. This standard is not applicable to the color deviation or changes in the three stimulus values X, Y, and Z of a single color sample when the illumination source is changed. This standard is also not applicable to the problem of color constancy being affected due to changes in the color observer.
