Scope

This document specifies the assessment content, evaluation procedures, scenario determination, greenhouse gas source identification, emission reduction calculation, monitoring and data quality management, and preparation of emission reduction assessment reports for solar thermal utilization projects.
This document is applicable to guiding the assessment of greenhouse gas emissions reductions during the operation phase of projects that use solar energy to supply hot water, heating, heat-driven cooling, and industrial heat, as well as projects that combine two or more of the aforementioned forms.
This document is also applicable to the assessment of greenhouse gas emissions reductions during the operation phase of the solar thermal utilization component of integrated energy utilization projects.
