Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, requirements, testing, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of long-fiber muga raw silk yarn (hereinafter referred to as muga yarn).
This standard is applicable to the quality assessment of muga yarn produced by ring spinning machines. For long-fiber polyester-muga blended raw silk yarn (hereinafter referred to as polyester-muga yarn), please refer to Appendix A.
