GB/T 44848-2024 Industrial fans—Method of measurement of fan vibration

Scope

This document describes the measurement methods for the vibration characteristics of all types of industrial fans, applicable to fans with an installed power of less than 300 kW, except for fans used for air circulation, such as ceiling fans and table fans. For fans with a power of more than 300 kW, the methods described in ISO 10816-1 and the applicable limits given in ISO 10816-3 can be used. This document only provides general methods and does not give guidelines for data interpretation (see ISO 14694). This document stipulates that the measurement of vibration can be carried out using overall root mean square (r.m.s.) velocity, acceleration, or displacement, or a spectrum within a specified frequency range; the test method includes two installation methods: suspension by elastic ropes or installation on elastic bases. The measurement of vibration at the installation position helps to analyze the impact of vibration on the supporting structure, but such measurements are not within the scope of this document. The appendices provided are informative. Appendix B gives auxiliary measurement methods, which, although not recommended for precise measurement, can be used to evaluate the balance of series-produced fans or for comparative on-site measurements.
