Scope

This document specifies the requirements for gas fire extinguishing systems (hereinafter referred to as "fire extinguishing systems") and their components (state sensing units, data transmission units, cylinder groups, nozzles, selection valves, one-way valves, manifold pipes, connecting pipes, safety relief devices, drive units, control devices, signal feedback devices, pressure relief devices, low-leakage high-sealing valves, pipe fittings, support and suspension brackets, and pressure relief devices for protected areas), as well as flow design calculations and verification, inspection rules, user manuals, fire extinguishing agent filling and packaging, transportation, and storage. It also provides a model compilation method and describes the corresponding test methods. This document is applicable to the design, manufacture, and inspection of fire extinguishing systems using chemical synthesis fire extinguishing agents such as heptafluoropropane (HFC227ea), and inert gas fire extinguishing agents such as IG-01 (argon), IG-100 (nitrogen), IG-55 (argon and nitrogen), and IG-541 (argon, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide). This document is not applicable to halogenated hydrocarbon fire extinguishing systems, high-pressure and low-pressure carbon dioxide fire extinguishing systems, suspended gas fire extinguishing devices, and cabinet-type gas fire extinguishing devices.
