Scope

This standard specifies the relevant definitions and test methods for glass surface stress and glass edge stress testing. The surface stress testing method in this standard is applicable to tempered glass and semi-tempered glass manufactured by float glass; the edge stress testing method is applicable to tempered glass, semi-tempered glass, laminated glass for automotive windshields, and heat-bent glass.
