Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product grades, order information, production methods, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and quality certificates, anti-rust measures, packaging, storage, and transportation requirements for austenitic cast iron parts (hereinafter referred to as castings).
This standard applies to castings cast in sand molds or molds with thermal conductivity comparable to sand molds. Castings produced using other casting methods may also be used as reference.
