Scope

This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of marine ultra-low temperature rupture valves (hereinafter referred to as "rupture valves").
This standard applies to the design, manufacture, and acceptance of rupture valves used in hose transfer systems during the loading, transfer, and unloading of liquefied natural gas (LNG) on ships.
