Scope
This standard specifies the methods for reliability testing of room air conditioners, including the general requirements for reliability testing of room air conditioners. It also provides detailed requirements such as recommended statistical testing schemes, testing conditions, and testing cycles. This standard applies to cold air type, heat pump type, and electric heating type room air conditioners specified in GB/T 7725-2004 "Room Air Conditioners" under the T1, T2, and T3 usage climate environments. This standard is applicable to reliability testing of room air conditioners using the lower limit of the mean time between failures (MTBF) (β) as an indicator, and where the lifetime distribution follows an exponential distribution or an approximate exponential distribution. Reliability testing of other types of room air conditioners can be carried out with reference to this standard.
