Scope

This section stipulates the basic principles for the classification of flammable gases and vapors (hereinafter referred to as gases and vapors) used in industrial production, storage, and use, and provides guidelines for the classification testing of gases or vapors not listed in Appendix A.
This section applies to electrical equipment protected by explosion-proof enclosures "d" and electrical equipment protected by intrinsically safe types "i". According to the types of gases and vapors contained in the environment in which they are used, the corresponding categories and levels of equipment should be selected.
