Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements for the design, installation, maintenance, and modification of thermal power plants, as well as the boilers, pressure vessels, pressure pipelines, steel structures, and welding work on pressure components, and the welding repair of main and auxiliary components. This document applies to welding methods such as stick arc welding (SMAW), tungsten inert gas welding (GTAW), gas shielded welding with consumable electrodes (GMAW, FCAW), oxyfuel welding (OFW), and submerged arc welding (SAW). This document also applies to the welding of non-pressure structures, sealing, and general support structures.
