Scope
This standard specifies the principles, equipment, samples, procedures, calculations, and results for determining the linear thermal expansion coefficient. This standard applies to insulation products with a temperature range of 196 °C to 850 °C, provided that the temperature does not exceed the operating temperature limit of the insulation products. This standard does not apply to products that undergo dimensional changes due to the loss of bound water or other phase transitions during the test process.
