Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, basic requirements, safety requirements, self-inspection records, and self-inspection report requirements for the installation, modification, major repairs, and annual self-inspection of traction drive elevators. This standard applies to the self-inspection and annual maintenance of traction drive elevators after installation, modification, or major repairs. It does not apply to explosion-proof elevators and firefighter elevators. This standard is the basic requirement for the self-inspection of traction drive elevators. During the self-inspection, construction units should appropriately add self-inspection content based on the product manual, the characteristics of new technology elevators, and actual situations.
