Scope

This document specifies the calculation methods for the basic rated static load, equivalent static load, and static load safety factor of linear motion rolling bearings. This document is applicable to linear motion rolling bearings that use modern and high-quality quenched bearing steel, are manufactured according to good processing methods, and have rolling contact surfaces with a basic conventional design. This document is not applicable to designs where the rolling elements operate directly on the smooth surfaces of mechanical equipment, unless the surface is comparable in all aspects to the raceways of the linear motion rolling bearing components it replaces.
