Scope
This standard specifies the general requirements for ultrasonic testing of hot-rolled H-beams, testing instruments and equipment, reference test pieces, sensitivity setting, scanning, determination and evaluation of defects, quality grading of H-beams, and testing reports. This standard applies to ultrasonic longitudinal wave testing of hot-rolled H-beams with a thickness of not less than 6mm.
