Scope

This standard provides requirements and guidelines for organizations in the international supply chain to:
—— Establish and implement supply chain security processes;
—— Set and document the minimum security level for the entire or part of the supply chain;
—— Assist organizations in meeting the applicable Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) criteria within the World Customs Organization's Standard Framework and complying with national supply chain security programs.
Note: Only customs agencies of countries participating in this framework can designate organizations as Authorized Economic Operators (AEOs) in accordance with their supply chain security programs and related certification and verification requirements.
Additionally, this standard identifies some document requirements that can be used for verification.
