Scope

This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of dual-beam UV-Vis spectrophotometers.
This standard applies to dual-beam UV-Vis spectrophotometers with an independent reference beam and an independent reference sample cell, with a main spectral range of 200 nm to 900 nm and a continuously adjustable wavelength. Dual-beam spectrophotometers with a similar wavelength range can also be used for reference.
