Scope
This standard specifies the principles of measuring the diameter of carbon nanotubes (CNTs), instruments, sample preparation and preservation, measurement methods, image analysis, result calculation, and measurement examples of typical samples, etc.
This standard is applicable to measuring the diameter of carbon nanotubes using transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and TEM image analysis techniques.
This standard is not applicable to carbon nanotube samples with significant diameter variations, such as bamboo-joint-like structures.
