Scope
This standard specifies the product classification, requirements, and test methods for high-boiling point aromatic solvents produced from the fractionation of C9 and higher heavy aromatic hydrocarbons, by-products of refinery reforming units, as well as inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage, and safety requirements.
This standard applies to high-boiling point aromatic solvents used as diluents for coatings, raw materials for producing pesticide emulsifiers, PVC plasticizers, and rubber fillers, among other chemical products.
