Scope

This part of GB/T 36014 provides standard test methods for determining the technical parameters of radiation thermometers (hereinafter referred to as thermometers), so that end users can determine or confirm the basic metrological parameters of radiation thermometers with a single wavelength range and a single measurement field of view. All these technical parameters are specified in GB/T 36014.1-2018.
To enhance the comparability and testability of technical parameters, this part prescribes clear test methods for determining technical parameters under standardized measurement conditions, which can be used by skilled end users as standard performance criteria for evaluating or selecting radiation thermometers.
For a specific type of radiation thermometer, manufacturers and sellers do not need to list all the technical parameters given in this part in the parameter table, but only need to provide the relevant parameters.
This part does not apply to infrared ear thermometers and infrared forehead thermometers.
