Scope
This standard specifies the detection methods for the mercury, cadmium, and lead content in batteries.
This standard is applicable to batteries with a zinc negative electrode, such as zinc-manganese dioxide batteries, alkaline zinc-manganese dioxide batteries, zinc-air batteries, zinc-nickel batteries, and zinc-silver oxide batteries (hereinafter collectively referred to as batteries) for the determination of mercury, cadmium, and lead content.
Measurement range: Mercury content ≥ 0.1 μg/g, cadmium content ≥ 2 μg/g; lead content ≥ 10 μg/g.
