Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, labels and user manuals, packaging, transportation, and storage for prealbumin assay kits (immunoturbidimetry).
This standard applies to kits used for quantitative detection of prealbumin in human serum or plasma by immunoturbidimetry (hereinafter referred to as kits), including those used on manual, semi-automatic, and fully automatic biochemical analyzers.
This standard does not apply to prealbumin assay kits using dry chemistry methods.
