Scope

This document specifies the types and sizes of terminals, technical requirements, inspection rules, packaging, and storage and transportation for valve halls and DC field equipment of converter stations. This document applies to equipment terminals in valve halls and DC fields of ±400 kV to ±1100 kV converter stations. Equipment terminals of DC systems of other voltage levels may be implemented as a reference. The equipment in valve halls and DC fields of converter stations mainly includes (but is not limited to) the following: — Converter transformers; — Wall-penetrating bushings; — Lightning arresters; — Converter valves; — Grounding switches; — DC disconnect switches; — Reactors; — Voltage measurement devices; — Current measurement devices; — Bypass circuit breakers; — DC circuit breakers, including metal return line conversion circuit breakers (MRTB), neutral bus circuit breakers (NBS), ground return line conversion circuit breakers (GRTS), and neutral bus grounding circuit breakers (NBGS); — DC resistors, etc.
