GB/T 22898-2008 Paper and board—Determination of tensile properties—Constant rate of elongation method (100 mm/min)
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the methods for determining tensile strength, elongation at break, tensile energy absorption, and tensile stiffness using testing instruments with a constant tensile speed of 100 mm/min, and provides formulas for calculating tensile index, tensile energy absorption index, tensile stiffness index, and elastic modulus.
Compared with other tensile strength performance, tensile stiffness requires higher accuracy in measuring elongation. If elongation is measured with lower accuracy, the obtained tensile stiffness value will not be consistent with this standard.
This standard applies to all paper and cardboard, including papers with high elongation, such as creped paper and flexible paper bags.
This standard does not apply to low-density papers, such as toilet paper and its products.
