Scope
This standard specifies the product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and standards for multi-layer co-extruded barrier films used for packaging (hereinafter referred to as co-extruded films). This standard applies to multi-layer composite packaging films with barrier properties, which are produced by co-extrusion of barrier resins such as ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH), polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC), and polyamide (PA) with other resins, except for pharmaceutical packaging.
