Basic Information
Scope
Main Technical Content: 4. Breeding and Management 4.1 Refer to the requirements of NY/T 5038 to control the temperature, humidity, lighting, and ventilation in chicken coops, and adjust the breeding density according to the breed, rearing method, and growth period. 4.2 Feed should comply with the requirements of GB 13078. The nutritional needs of different growth stages should be implemented in accordance with NY/T 33. 4.3 Drinking water should comply with the requirements of NY 5027. 5. Biosafety 5.1 A "fully-in and fully-out" rearing management system should be implemented. Chickens of different ages, batches, and breeds should not be mixed. 5.2 The farm should establish and effectively implement a disinfection system in accordance with the provisions of NY/T 3075. The disinfection method should refer to DB37/T 4034. 5.3 The farm should, based on its specific circumstances, carry out work such as insect control, rodent control, and preventing wild birds and cats from entering the farm area. 6. Diagnosis 6.1 Clinical Diagnosis 6.1.1 Epidemiological Characteristics Mainly infects adult chickens, but chicks and growing chickens can also be infected. The incubation period is generally 2-6 days. The infection rate of sick chickens can reach 90%-100%, and the mortality rate ranges from 5% to 70%. 6.1.2 Clinical Symptoms Sick chickens have difficulty breathing, with a dog-sitting posture and open mouth breathing. They often try to cough out obstacles in the trachea and make rattling sounds. Blood clots can be found on the chicken coop. They may also show conjunctivitis and tearing, and severe cases may develop caseous exudates. Laying hens experience a significant decline in egg production, which usually takes a month to recover. 6.1.3 Pathological Changes 6.1.3.1 Necropsy Changes The main lesions in sick chickens are concentrated in the upper respiratory tract, including the larynx and trachea, with congestion, bleeding, and increase
