Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for high-purity tin, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates, and the content of contracts (or purchase orders).
This standard applies to tin with a purity of not less than 99.999%, which is produced from high-purity tin containing 99.90% or more by electrolysis and other processes; and tin with a purity of not less than 99.999% and 99.9999% produced from Sn05 tin by direct single-crystal purification and other processes. The products are used for preparing high-purity alloys, compound semiconductors, superconducting materials, solders, and dopants for compound semiconductors, indium tin oxide (ITO) targets, etc.
