YY/T 0651.2-2020 Implants for surgery—Wear of total hip-joint prostheses—Part 2:Methods of measurement

Scope

This part of YY/T 0651 specifies the methods of evaluating the wear of the acetabular component using the mass method and the volume method after conducting the wear test of total hip joint prostheses in accordance with YY/T 0651.1 or YY/T 0651.3. This standard applies to total hip joint prostheses.
Note: Some researchers have encountered problems that organic deposits significantly affect the results of this test, especially when using hard surfaces and hard surface combinations, the problem is even more serious. This part does not provide specific preventive measures, but if the cleaning techniques listed in this part can be adopted, the impact of such impurities can be reduced.
