GB/T 18910.103-2025 Liquid crystal display devices—Part 10-3:Environmental, endurance and mechanical test methods—Glass strength and reliability
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes the test methods for assessing the strength and reliability of glass used in liquid crystal displays (LCDs).
This document is applicable to all types of LCDs, including transmissive, reflective, or semi-transmissive LCD modules, whether they use field-effect, passive, or active matrix technologies, non-color or color LCDs, and whether they incorporate integrated light sources.
This document proposes unified requirements for accurate and reliable testing of LCD parameters:
a) quasi-static strength;
b) quasi-static fatigue.
The methods described in this document are applicable to LCD devices of all sizes, including small and large ones.
Note: The methods for measuring fatigue constants described in this document are derived from references [1]~[8]. The main results are formulas for estimating the allowable stress during a specified service life or the estimated failure rate under a specified stress level. For limited data on the strength and fatigue behavior of LCD glass, see Appendix A. Similarly, data on the static strength of LCD modules are also included and compared with those of the substrate glass.
