Scope
This standard specifies the determination method for the migration of 1,2-benzisothiazole-3-2H-one, 2-methyl-3-2H-isothiazolinone, and 5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazole-3-one in food contact materials and products. This standard is applicable to the determination of the migration of 1,2-benzisothiazole-3-2H-one, 2-methyl-3-2H-isothiazolinone, and 5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazole-3-one in food contact materials and products, including plastics, paints and coatings, rubber, paper, and cardboard, as well as those using inks or adhesives. The first method is high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
